Mediterranean Epic by Gaes 2019 jumps to UCI S1 category

The Mediterranean Epic by Gaes debuted in the 2018 calendar as a new stage race for mountain bikes which received a lot of praises after its celebration. Amateurs and professional riders such as Jordan Sarrou, Raiza Goulao, David Valero, Roberto Bou or Xavier Borrás were impressed by the quality of the routes and by the high level of the event's organisation, two facts that were not ignored by the UCI commissioners because, for 2019, the race will become UCI S1 category.
